Traditional GPS will not be of much help if you are inside a building, which leaves space for indoor positioning systems. The oligarchs of the Internet are fighting to take the lead over this technology - and so far Apple is leading the race with their iBeacon. iBeacon is already on over 200 million iPhones around the world, which gives them a head start to dominate the technology, win the developers and in the end the consumers.
